Testing and certificates of analysis
What is a COA?
A certificate of analysis (COA) is a lab report for one specific batch, called a lot. It lists the tests the lab ran on a sample from that lot and the results, so you can check what is in the bottle instead of taking our word for it.
Each Peptaw bottle carries a lot number. Match it to the table below to find that lot's report.
What we will test on every lot
- Identity (HPLC and mass spectrometry). Confirms the ingredient is the compound we say it is.
- Purity. How much of the sample is the intended compound, reported as a percentage.
- Endotoxin. Screens for bacterial residue that can be left behind in manufacturing.
- Microbial. Counts bacteria, yeast and mold in the finished product.
- Heavy metals. Screens for trace metals such as lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury.
Planned: these tests are our per-lot standard. No lot has been manufactured yet, so no results exist. We will post each report here as it arrives, and we will not post a lot we have not tested.
Who tests
Every lot will be tested by an independent third-party laboratory. Lab name: to be announced before the first lot ships.
